Sir Bacchus was super for us last Saturday being backed in from $12! I usually find December a hard time of year for profit, but it’s been a super month. I like the $9 we can get about this! Just been working up in distance this prep ran super in a BM90 1.8L off Savacool at Flemington which is great form for this. Last start he was just too far back in another strong race, he has had a bit of a freshen up but a trial in the interim. Have to trust John O’Shea has him at peak for this and the market/yard will help with our confidence. Proven over this distance!

Was good winning 2nd up at Ipswich over the 1350m before jumping to 1600m last start and although 3 from 9th by 3.9L doesn’t show it his run was so tough! Was in a hot speed battle the whole way and Coldstone stalked to win easily. 54kg from barrier 8, having that 1600m run under his belt if he can jump and cross nicely I think he will be tough to get past late. Note if you take Best Sp/Top Tote we might get $9-$10.
